Milan still appear to be the favourites for Charles De Ketelaere despite Leeds United’s recent bid and they’re preparing for a new meeting with Club Brugge next week.

There were some fears that the 21-year-old Belgian forward would be tempted by a move to the Premier League following the offer from Leeds but he’s reportedly turned it down, keen to a top experience in Italy instead of a second-rate time in England.

As reported by Calciomercato.com, Milan are in close contact with De Ketelaere’s entourage and they’re ready for new talks with Club Brugge, which could take place next week. The Belgian is valued at around €35-40m.

After losing out on Sven Botman, the Rossoneri now need to decide if they can afford the 21-year-old whilst also having enough resources to shore up other areas of the squad, like the defence.

Current indications suggest that Milan will look to sign De Ketelaere on a loan deal with a buy option or obligation to buy clause attached.

  1. They should focus on him. He’s a big talent, much better than Noa Lang. They’d better spend cash on him than on a defender like Botman that they don’t really need.

  2. Let’s be honest, Milan are never the favorite for anyone anymore. We were the favorites for Botman and Sanches for a whole year and we all know how that turned out, among many other targets in recent memory.
