Milan have reportedly reached an agreement for the contract renewal of chief scout Geoffrey Moncada amidst interest from a host of different clubs.

Calciomercato.com reports the Rossoneri have reached an agreement with their chief scout whose current deal is set to expire in July. His extension has been viewed as a top priority by the Milan hierarchy.

The Frenchman is considered to be a vital part of the infrastructure at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza by RedBird Capital and its founding partner, Gerry Cardinale.

Moncada, who has previously served as chief scout at Monaco, has most recently been credited with bringing the impressive Malick Thiaw to Milan from Schalke in the summer.

The 36-year-old was also influential in the transfer windows leading up to Milan’s long-awaited 19th Scudetto win under Stefano Pioli in 2021-22.

Now, the deal is just one step away from its official completion, pending Moncada’s signature, which is expected to be received in the near future.
