Milan are focusing only on Tammy Abraham for their attack, especially after Roma’s deal with Girona for Artem Dovbyk and West Ham swooping for Niclas Füllkrug.
The Rossoneri already secured Alvaro Morata from Atletico Madrid to replace Olivier Giroud and are now seeking another centre-forward, because Luka Jovic is not trusted with the role.
Several options have been mentioned and the price-tag has to be kept low, also because it is only going to be keeping the spot warm for teenage sensation Francesco Camarda to take in the near future.
According to multiple sources including Sky Sport Italia, Sportitalia, Fabrizio Romano and more, Abraham is the first choice for coach Paulo Fonseca.
Milan aiming for Abraham
That is becoming more evident over the last few hours thanks to several other developments.
Those include Roma’s deal with Girona for Dovbyk at €30.5m plus €5.5m and a cut of the sell-on fee, where the Ukrainian’s agent briefly posted on Instagram an image of the No 9 jersey – the one usually worn by the English forward.
West Ham United also reportedly agreed terms with Borussia Dortmund forward Füllkrug, who had also been on the Milan list of potential candidates a few weeks ago.
All of it points towards Abraham, who was approached by Everton, but seems intent on remaining in Serie A.
Milan could keep the costs down by effectively swapping Jovic with Abraham plus cash, even maybe exchanging the players on loan.
