According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Milan have offered Strahinja Pavlovic a €1.5m-a-year contract and are considering signing the Serbia international regardless of Malick Thiaw’s potential sale.

Milan are in talks to sign RB Salzburg centre-back Pavlovic, La Gazzetta dello Sport confirms.

Milan push for Pavlovic and make contract offer

The Serbia international has emerged as the Rossoneri’s primary target to strengthen their defence, but if previous reports claimed Milan would need to wait for Thiaw’s sale, Friday’s Gazzetta on page 12 reports that Milan could sign the 23-year-old regardless of any potential departure.

The pink paper warns that Pavlovic’s price tag could exceed €20m but at the same time, the solid centre-back earns €700,000 per season in Salzburg and Milan have already offered him a €1.5m-a-year deal.

Pavlovic has three years left in his contract with Salzburg and is currently on holiday with his compatriot Dusan Vlahovic after the Euros. The Juventus star could be one of his toughest opponents in Serie A next season.
