Milan have sent Porto their first official offer for Mehdi Taremi and are pushing to try and finalise a deal, reports detail.

The Rossoneri have identified the 31-year-old Iranian striker as their primary option to bolster their frontline this summer, adding an alternative option to the 36-year-old Olivier Giroud.

With only days left in the summer transfer window, Milan have started to accelerate for Taremi and have now taken a key step forward.

As detailed by Calciomercato.com, Milan have presented an offer to Porto worth just under €20m for Taremi, who has 10 months left on his contract in Portugal.

With super-agent Jorge Mendes acting as a mediator, the Rossoneri are now in constant contact with Porto as they push to agree a deal before the transfer window closes this week.

Taremi has long made it clear that he wants to join Milan and has already agreed personal terms with the club, so the ball is now in Porto’s court.
