Stefano Pioli has achieved incredible results with Milan and the club are reportedly prepared to activate the extension clause present in his contract.

The 57-year-old Italian coach took over at the Rossoneri in October 2019 following the dismissal of Marco Giampaolo and has overseen 152 matches across all competitions since then. Pioli has been a key figure in Milan’s return to the top of Italian football and guided them to their first Scudetto in a decade last season, finishing two points ahead of intercity rivals Inter

As highlighted by TMW, Pioli’s current contract with Milan expires at the end of this season but there is a one-year extension clause present, which’ll extend his deal until 2024 and increase his salary a little.

The club are incredibly with his work on the Rossoneri bench and are preparing to activate the clause, confirming his short-term future at the club. Pioli has made it clear that he’d be happy to spend a long time at the club and the two parties seem set to move forward together for the coming years.
