La Gazzetta dello Sport claim that Milan have drawn up an offer for returning Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku.

The Rossoneri had hoped to make a move for free agent Marcus Thuram, competing with Paris Saint-Germain for the Frenchman’s signature, but Inter emerged to beat their intercity rivals to the punch.

Milan, who are also working on the sale of Sandro Tonali to Newcastle United, are now looking around for alternatives and are keen on the idea of picking up Lukaku, who is returning to Chelsea after a year on loan with Inter.

Pages four to eight of today’s La Gazzetta dello Sport details how Milan have already contacted Chelsea and Lukaku’s entourage to sound out a possible move, preparing an offer for the Belgian striker.

The Blues want around €40m for the 30-year-old, who seemingly has no future in Mauricio Pochettino’s project in West London.

Lukaku also has an offer from Saudi side Al Hilal, who’ve prepared a three-year deal worth €30m net per season.
