Luka Jovic has started to prove himself a super-sub at Milan and the club are reportedly gearing up for contract renewal talks with his agent.

The 26-year-old Serbian striker was the hero in the Rossoneri’s 3-2 win over Frosinone on Saturday, scoring just moments after coming onto the pitch in the 81st minute, guaranteeing all three points for Stefano Pioli’s side.

Jovic, who has now scored four goals coming off the bench, signed a one-year contract with Milan when he arrived on a free transfer last summer. The deal contains three one-year extension options in favour of the club, giving them complete control over his future in the Lombardy capital.

Page 14 of today’s Gazzetta dello Sport details how Milan will soon sit down with Jovic’s agent to discuss the idea of offering him a more conventional three-year contract, keen to reward him after his impressive work over the last two months.

Overall, the 26-year-old striker has scored seven goals and provided one assist in 721 minutes of action across 19 games for the Rossoneri this term.
