Injuries have forced Milan to look for a defensive reinforcement in January and one player they’re closely following is Arsenal’s Jakub Kiwior, reports detail.

The Rossoneri were incredibly active in the summer transfer window but only added one centre back to Stefano Pioli’s squad – Marco Pellegrino. The 21-year-old made his first start in the recent draw with Napoli and is now out of action for a month after suffering an ankle injury.

Milan’s other backup in the backline is Pierre Kalulu, who missed five consecutive league games due to a muscle injury. The Frenchman’s poor luck has continued, and he’ll now be sidelined until early March due to a patellar tendon injury, an issue that required surgical intervention.

Page two of today’s Gazzetta dello Sport details how Milan have been looking around for suitable defenders to sign in January and have set their sights on Arsenal’s Kiwior, who has struggled for consistent minutes in North London this term.

The 23-year-old Pole joined the Gunners from Spezia last January in a deal worth around €25m, so Milan’s interest is largely dependent on the Premier League side agreeing to a loan deal, possibly with a permanence clause attached.
