Their leader is 74-year-old Singer, whose personal wealth has been estimated by Forbes to be $3.2bn, an increase on the $2.9bn he was worth in 2017.
Elliott are believed to have over $35bn in assets and Singer is placed 251st in the list of wealthiest Americans.
