Olivier Giroud’s agents Vincenzo Morabito and Michael Manuello met with Milan today to discuss a new contract and things went well, reports detail.

The 36-year-old French veteran only has three months left on his current deal with the Rossoneri and does not want to leave the club just yet, enjoying his time in the Lombardy capital.

In January, Giroud rejected a lucrative €10m offer from Everton in order to stay with Milan, a sign of his commitment to Stefano Pioli’s squad.

Calciomercato.com details how the meeting between Giroud’s agents and Milan’s management went well, with the distance between offer and request being reduced dramatically.

The 2018 World Cup winner wants a two-year contract worth €4m net per season, a slight raise compared to his currently €3.5m net salary.

Milan are planning to meet this request with add-ons and a new meeting is expected in the coming days to try and close out an agreement.
