Milan are continuing their search for a new midfielder and they’ve reportedly opened talks with Albert Sambi Lokonga’s entourage.

The Rossoneri only have a few weeks left to try and add a reinforcement to Stefano Pioli’s midfield and they’re considering a number of options as the season rapidly approaches, from Hellas Verona’s Adrien Tameze and Sassuolo’s Davide Frattesi.

As reported by TMW, Milan have approached Sambi Lokonga’s entourage to explore a possible transfer from Arsenal this summer. The 22-year-old Belgian midfielder fell out of favour last season under Mikel Arteta and he only made three starts in the second half of the season, far less than the nine he made before Christmas.

Sambi Lokonga is contracted to the Gunners until 2026 and he only joined a year ago, so it’s likely that he’d depart on loan this month rather than leave on a definitive transfer. The 22-year-old made 24 appearances across all competitions last season in North London.

  1. Now this is something I’d be interested in. Not bad.

He failed in Arsenal, but he has the right characteristics and potential, and let’s face it, it’s Arsenal. Easy to fail there lol

  2. Trust me, as an Arsenal fan, you’d want him. Arsenal weren`t playing him in his best position for parts of last season and he was looking great in preseason as a box-to-box. Hasn`t failed, only 22, just needs experience (look at Saliba)
