Milan open Sarr talks with Tottenham but have three more targets

Milan are still looking for midfield reinforcement and according to Il Corriere dello Sport, Paolo Maldini has targeted Adrien Tameze, Seko Fofana and Tottenham starlet Pape Matar Sarr.

The Rossoneri are still looking for a replacement for Franck Kessié who has joined Barcelona on a free transfer. Their primary transfer target, Renato Sanches, has signed with PSG after several months of negotiations with the Serie A champions.

Today’s printed edition of Il Corriere dello Sport newspaper reports Milan’s shopping list, mentioning Tameze (Verona), Fofana (Lens) and Sarr (Tottenham) as Maldini’s targets to bolster Stefano Pioli’s options in midfield.

They are not Milan’s only midfield targets, as Milannews reports Raphael Onyedika (Midtllyand) tops Maldini and Massara’s shopping list.

Pioli needs to add physical strength to his midfield, but Milan don’t have significant financial resources after signing Charles De Ketelaere from Club Brugge for more than €30m.

According to CorSport, Milan are open to signing Tameze, but won’t invest more than €12m in the 27-year-old. Fofana also has Serie A experience, having spent four seasons at Udinese before his move to France.

Sarr is an exciting prospect and has been monitored for several months by the Rossoneri, who are already discussing the formula of a potential deal with the Spurs’ director Fabio Paratici.
