Hakim Ziyech continues to be a target for Milan in January, but reports warn the Chelsea and Morocco star can only arrive in certain circumstances.

The 29-year-old is making a real impact for Morocco at the World Cup with a goal and assist, booking their place in the Round of 16 as group winners.

He was already a strong transfer target for Milan over the summer and that interest remains.

However, there are two major issues, the first being that they would only be prepared to sign Ziyech on loan with an option to buy at the end of the season, which Chelsea will not necessarily accept in the circumstances.

The other problem outlined by La Gazzetta dello Sport is his salary, earning €6m per season at Stamford Bridge, which is close to the maximum earning player at Milan right now.
