Reports in France confirm Milan are in talks with Paris Saint-Germain for defender Abdou Diallo, but would only take him on loan with option to buy.
There were numerous suggestions that Diallo was top of the wish-list to replace Simon Kjaer, who has been ruled out for the rest of the season following surgery on a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his knee.
Now RMC Sport in France claim it is true that the two clubs are in direct contact to discuss Diallo’s situation, but that it will be far from an easy deal to negotiate.
This is because Milan are only prepared to take the 25-year-old on loan, at most with an option to buy at the end of the season.
Another problem is that the Senegal international will be taking part in the Africa Cup of Nations in January and February, effectively making him unavailable to the Rossoneri until almost March.
Diallo can play as a left-back or in central defence and so far this term has made 13 competitive appearances for PSG.
He cost €32m to sign from Borussia Dortmund in 2019.
🔴 L’AC Milan et le PSG discutent pour Abdou Diallo mais Paris a proposé un transfert à Milan. Le club italien ne souhaite pas dépenser d’argent sur ce poste pour l’instant et cherche un prêt.
