Milan defender Simon Kjaer has reportedly not suffered a muscle injury, while Olivier Giroud has started running and Zlatan Ibrahimovic has returned to individual training on the pitch.

The Rossoneri are struggling with a host of injuries, including Rade Krunic, Tiemoue Bakayoko, Junior Messias and Davide Calabria.

The full-back, Calabria, reported a flexor problem in the right thigh and didn’t participate in the 1-1 draw with Milan on Sunday.

Messias should, according to MilanNews, continue a personalised programme to recovery his athletic conditions, while the French midfielder Bakayoko suffered an Achilles problem and will carry out new tests next week.

The same goes for Krunic, who suffered an injury in the right calf during international duty with Bosnia. The report claims the midfielder is doing better.

Yesterday, Kjaer limped off against Juventus with a problem in the right thigh and will rest for a few days while getting treatment. But the scans have ruled out a muscle injury for the Dane.

Ibrahimovic has, according to the report, returned to the pitch to carry out a personalised programme, while Giroud is better and has started running.
