Milan new Rugani favourites?

Milan have emerged as the new favourites to sign Juventus defender Daniele Rugani when the transfer window reopens.

Rugani seems destined to leave Juve after having fallen to fifth choice in their centre-back pecking order.

Now, Calciomercato.it claims he is a ‘high-value target’ for Milan, given he fits into their budget.

The website writes the Bianconeri are hoping to raise ‘around €20m’ from his sale, while the 25-year-old receives in the region of €3m a season.

However, it is warned the Diavolo face competition from Serie A rivals Fiorentina and Napoli.

Rugani and Milan captain Alessio Romagnoli were once tipped to be Italy’s centre-back pairing of the future.

He became the first Serie A player to be diagnosed with coronavirus but has since made a full recovery.
