It is not just Napoli who want to sign Romelu Lukaku from Chelsea, as Sky Sport Italia claim that Milan are also thinking about a bid for the ex-Inter and Roma striker.
The centre-forward has said many times he feels happiest in Italy and playing in Serie A, so spent this season on loan from Roma.
However, the Giallorossi cannot afford to make the move permanent, nor are they particularly inclined to do so.
Antonio Conte is set to sign on as the new Napoli coach tomorrow and inevitably he has requested Lukaku to join the squad, especially if Victor Osimhen is sold.
Now Gianluca Di Marzio claims on Sky Sport Italia this evening that Milan are also looking towards Lukaku to replace Olivier Giroud, who has left as a free agent to join LAFC.
Milan had looked at Lukaku before
It is not the first time that the Rossoneri have been linked with Lukaku, as he was also on their radar last summer before the switch to Roma.
However, it would be an extraordinary surprise if it were to progress beyond the phase of an idea, as the Belgian centre-forward had two different spells with their arch-rivals Inter.
There is another reason why it is not expected to develop any further, as Di Marzio points out Milan would want him on loan with an option to buy, something that Chelsea are no longer prepared to do.
