Milan have opened talks with Zlatan Ibrahimovic over a potential return for the veteran striker.

Sky Sport Italia and ANSA both report Milan spoke to Mino Raiola about possibly bringing back Ibrahimovic for the first time on Wednesday.

The Swede will leave LA Galaxy when his contract expires next month, and the Rossoneri are keen to reinforce their squad in January after a poor start to the season.

Although his demands are described as “very high”, the broadcaster believes the club are prepared to offer him an 18-month contract.

The 38-year-old scored 56 goals in 85 games for Milan between 2010 and 2012, winning a Scudetto in his first campaign.

More talks between the two parties are expected in the coming days, although ANSA maintains Bologna are still interested.
