The forward impressed at the World Cup and scored against Benfica in the Emirates Cup on Saturday.

There were two Milan directors in the stands for that game and Sky Sport Italia claim they had a meeting with Campbell’s entourage this evening.

The encounter was to see whether Campbell would be interested in taking this matter further and Sky insist the outcome was “positive.”

With that in mind, Milan can now approach Arsenal with an offer.

They can either try to take the player on loan so that he can play regularly and gain experience or attempt to buy him.

So far this summer the Rossoneri have been trying to sign forwards for new Coach Pippo Inzaghi’s 4-3-3 system.

Other options include Alessio Cerci of Torino and PSG star Ezequiel Lavezzi.
