Massimiliano Allegri has requested “at least three reinforcements,” so Milan are eyeing Alessandro Matri, Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa and Arsenal’s Nicklas Bendtner.

“This is Year Zero for Milan,” confessed the Coach after losing stars including Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Thiago Silva, Alessandro Nesta, Gennaro Gattuso, Clarence Seedorf and Mark Van Bommel.

“We need to find men who can play at Milan and in terms of their characteristics complete the attack, midfield and defence.”

Most Italian newspapers suggest Matri is the man to replace Ibrahimovic, as the striker is struggling for space at Juventus despite a strong first half to his season.

He is a former Milan youth team product and hit the big time under Allegri’s tutelage at Cagliari.

Matri is expected to face Milan this evening when they join Inter for the Trofeo TIM mini-tournament in Bari.

Another alternative would be Arsenal hitman Bendtner, as he is only 24 years old, a Danish international who is strong in the air and would be available for €7m.

As for the defence, the Rossoneri look to have lost their grip on Porto player Rolando, as he is heading towards Fenerbahce.

Instead, they are turning their focus on to 23-year-old Yanga-Mbiwa, who is fresh from winning the Ligue 1 title at Montpellier.

His price-tag is around €6m and Yanga-Mbiwa would command relatively low wages.
