"A strong wind was blowing at Milanello this morning, where the team met for breakfast before heading out onto the pitch for today's session. Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara were also present at Milanello," Milan's statement reads.

"The players activated their muscles in the gym to start with before heading out onto the pitch to start the session in earnest with various athletic drills using low hurdles and football mannequins with a focus on pace. Exercises with the ball revolved around two-on-twos on a reduced pitch and then work on possession for the tactical phase of today's session."

Mandzukic's future at Milan remains up in the air.

According to the latest reports in Italy, the Rossoneri are not willing to use their option to extend the player's contract unless he impresses in the final games of the season.
