According to La Gazzetta Dello Sport, Milan midfielder Yacine Adli won’t leave on loan in January despite his lack of playing time at San Siro.

The France starlet signed with the Rossoneri in 2021 but spent the last season on loan at Bordeaux.

He has struggled to adapt to life in Milan this term, collecting just four appearances in Serie A. The 22-year-old was left out of the Rossoneri’s Champions League list for the group phase.

Adli is still adapting to a new culture and a new club and Milan are happy to let him continue his development path at the club.

According to Gazzetta, the defending Serie A champions are unwilling to send the player out on loan in January and would only consider a temporary transfer for the France starlet at the end of the season.

Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara are still convinced that Adli, just like many other young players at Milan, need time to adapt. The same is true of Charles De Ketelaere.

Milan directors hope both CDK and Adli will follow the trajectory of Rafael Leao and Sandro Tonali who have become key players after a tough debut season at the club.

  1. It might work or not in the end but the Tonali and Leao experience tell us it’s the right decision. Gotta give these kids some time.
