The Rossoneri are in discussions with the port club this afternoon, primarily to finalise terms for their capture of Genoa-owned defender Francesco Acerbi.

However, it seems that the midfielder could also arrive at San Siro as the Diavolo look to bolster their options in the middle of the park.

The 25-year-old moved to Marassi a year ago from Chievo and scored one goal in 21 League games for the Grifone this term.

As part of the deal, Milan could send Alberto Paloschi to Genoa after his season at Chievo Verona.
