According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Milan have submitted their first offer to extend Theo Hernandez’s contract.
The Frenchman sees his €1.5m-a-year deal expire in June 2024, but the Serie A leaders want to tie him down to a new contract given that several top clubs in Europe, especially Manchester City and PSG, are interested in securing his services.
La Gazzetta dello Sport newspaper reports that Milan directors met Theo’s agent Manuel Garcia Quilon during their Champions League trip in Madrid earlier this week.
Negotiations have just started and Milan have reportedly offered a new €4m-a-year deal until June 2026.

According to the report, Theo’s agent requested a salary below €5m per season, so the two parties are not far from reaching an agreement.
The Rossoneri are also planning to extend with Ismael Bennaecer and Rafael Leao, who see their deals expire in 2024.
However, the priorities remain Franck Kessié and Alessio Romagnoli, whose contracts run out in the summer.
Kessié’s stay at the club is unlikely, while Romagnoli is negotiating a lower salary with the Rossoneri.
