Milan are making their first proposal to FC Porto for Jesus ‘Tecatito’ Corona at €17m including bonuses, claim reports in Mexico, but it depends on Samu Castillejo going to Getafe.

The 28-year-old right-sided winger can also play as a right-back and his contract at Porto is running down at the end of this season.

According to Mexican reporter KeryNews, the first formal offer has been made, and it’s €10m plus another €7m in various add-ons.

Sevilla are also in the hunt for Corona, but the biggest problem Milan face may well be another.

In order to raise funds and also make room in the squad for Corona, they must sell Castillejo, and his only real alternative right now is Getafe.

Initial bids were rejected, as the Rossoneri hope the offer for Castillejo will climb to at least €8m.

Corona has nine goals and eight assists in 53 senior caps for Mexico.

  1. Umm … I hope he’s just a replacement for Castillejo. We still need our attacking midfielder.

If a quality attacking midfielder also signs for Milan, then Maldini has done a fantastic job this summer.

  2. Hmmm that is too much. Corona is 29 in January. I like him a lot, but nearly 20 million for a player not tested in Spain, England or even Germany is an expensive risk.

  3. Just get Andrea Belotti with a little less of that money, before he is snatched, unless there is a plan for next summer, to get him replace one of the 2 old strikers
