Milan Primavera failed to make their chances count in the UEFA Youth League semi-final clash with Hadjuk Split, falling in a tough 3-1 loss.

The Rossoneri’s Under-19 squad have looked strong on the European stage this season, winning all but two of their matches in the competition, dropping points just twice in draws with Chelsea and RB Salzburg.

Hadjuk have also put up tough competition in the UEFA Youth League this season, flying through the qualification rounds before beating Manchester City in the Round of 16 and Borussia Dortmund in the quarter-finals.

Milan looked strong in the first half but their efforts on goal failed to yield an advantage, leaving things goalless heading into the second half.

The Rossoneri tried to push for an opener after the break but their forward ventures left them open at the back, allowing Hadjuk to steal the first goal of the game through Jere Vrcic.

Milan were then on the backfoot and continued to try and push for an equaliser, allowing Hadjuk to sneak in again, with Rokas Pukstas putting them 2-0 up after 69 minutes. Simun Hrgovic gave them a three-goal cushion no longer after in the 76th minute, leaving the Rossoneri exasperated.

The Italian outfit eventually netted a consolation goal in the 83rd minute thanks to Kevin Zeroli, but it was too little too late for Milan, who could do nothing but watch on in horror as their elimination from the semi-finals was confirmed.
