Milan will not be able to count on captain Davide Calabria for their coming matches with Stade Rennais and Monza.

The Rossoneri edged out an important 1-0 win at home to Napoli on Sunday evening, an important result that maintains their momentum ahead of their coming Europa League knockout stage playoff with Rennes.

The only concerning moment of the night for Milan was when Calabria was forced off the pitch in the 37th minute of the match, being replaced by Alessandro Florenzi. Initial signs suggested the captain had suffered an issue with his left adductor.

As reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, Calabria has suffered an edema in his left adductor muscle, an injury that’ll force him to miss Milan’s next two games against Rennes and Monza. It’s the 34th injury of the season for the Rossoneri and 23rd related to muscles.

In better news, Malick Thiaw has almost completed his recovery and is expected to be part of Stefano Pioli’s squad for the coming clash with the Ligue 1 side.
