Injuries have forced Milan to look for defensive reinforcements and they are ready to open talks with Chelsea and Arsenal ahead of the January transfer window.

The Rossoneri recently lost Pierre Kalulu and Marco Pellegrino to concerning injuries and are unable to count on veteran Simon Kjaer, who is continuing to be plagued by muscle issues. The situation has reduced Stefano Pioli’s options at the back, prompting the club to action.

Milan were planning to invest in a new defender in January but have now decided to postpone that until the summer, pushing them to start looking for possible loan options instead.

As reported by Daniele Longo of Calciomercato.com, Milan are preparing for an important trip to London, where they’ll meet with Chelsea and Arsenal to start discussing possible deals.

The Rossoneri are interested in Blues duo Benoit Badiashile and Malang Sarr and could take advantage of the good relationship between the two clubs’ owners.

Milan will also meet with Arsenal to try and iron out a loan deal for Jakub Kiwior, hoping to bring the talented Pole back to Serie A.
