Milan have reportedly contacted Atalanta regarding a possible move for Aleksey Miranchuk, as the Rossoneri continue to look for a new attacking midfielder.

The Diavolo waits for a final answer from Brest for Romain Faivre, as the French side confirmed they ‘are in negotiations’ with the Serie A giants.

But Sky Sport Italia reports the Diavolo directors are already looking elsewhere just in case and have contacted Atalanta regarding a move for Miranchuk.

Brest confirm Milan talks for transfer rebel Faivre

The negotiation will be difficult, but the Orobici have not completely closed the door on an operation for the Russian.

The broadcaster highlights Faivre is at the top of the Rossoneri wish list, but the team are prepared to change the objective.

It’s unlikely that Atalanta are willing to sell to a rival, but Milan have made an effort anyway.

The other options mentioned as possible targets for Milan are Junior Messias of Crotone and Adam Ounas at Napoli.

Messias turned 30 in May and doesn’t quite fit the profile Milan are looking to invest in but could be interested in a loan deal with an option to buy.

For the Napoli forward, on the other hand, the report believes the Azzurri’s request is quite high.

4 thought on “Milan look for attacking midfielder: Miranchuk emerges as a target”
  1. Its non stop for Maldini in the transfer market looking everywhere Miranchuk would be great affordable option

  2. The squad is nicely balanced we now need to stop. We’ve already got too many midfielders and Brahim seems to be enjoying the confidence the club has put in him.

What exactly has Krunic done wrong in the past 2 games that he deserves to be our fifth choice midfielder? How will Tonali develop if he’s rotated every 5 mins to accomodate a small army?

Enough. Milan’s transfer campaign needs to end. Any more transfers this late will just be disruptive.

  3. @Maldini’s heir – we do need squad depth. We are going into the Champions League + we have Kessie and Bennacer going to the African Cup of Nations in Dec/Jan. So – we need to that depth. Brahim will need rest and there is no harm in getting another attacking mid.
