According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Simon Kjaer didn’t suffer an injury against Cagliari on Monday and will be fit to face Atalanta next weekend.

The Dane was substituted during the half time break at the Sardegna Arena due to back pain, but the pink paper reports he will be eligible to play against La Dea on Saturday.

Stefano Pioli remains short of options at the back as Milan are without the suspended Alessio Romagnoli and Theo Hernandez who has tested positive for COVID.

Pierre Kalulu is expected to partner Kjaer in centre defense against Atalanta with Davide Calabria on the right and Diogo Dalot on the left.

The Rossoneri are eager to sign defensive reinforcements in the winter transfer window.

Chelsea’s Fikayo Tomori will move to San Siro on loan with an option to buy and the Diavoli have also opened talks to sign Junior Firpo on loan from Barcelona.
