Milan are still rapidly searching for a new midfielder and they’re reportedly set their sights on RC Strasbourg’s Ibrahima Sissoko.
The Rossoneri have been looking to add a new central midfielder to Stefano Pioli’s squad for a little while now, keen to shore things up following the departure of Franck Kessie last month. Milan were keen on Lille’s Renato Sanches but they eventually lost out to Paris Saint-Germain, forcing them to focus on other targets.
As reported by TMW, the latest player to end up in Milan’s sights is the 24-year-old Sissoko, who is contracted to Strasbourg until 2024. The Rossoneri are currently weighing up their options and they could decide to move forward for the French midfielder in the coming days.
Sissoko has an estimated market value of around €8m and has attracted the attentions of Paolo Maldini, Frederic Massara and French footballing expert Geoffrey Moncada.
Last season, the 24-year-old Frenchman made 35 Ligue 1 appearances for Strasbourg, for a total of 2307 minutes. In that time, he scored two goals and provided six assists.
