Milan have reportedly reignited their interest in Gerard Deulofeu following his explosive season with Udinese.

The 28-year-old Spanish winger is really hitting his stride in Italy this season, scoring 12 goals and providing four assists in 31 league outings. The former Everton and Watford man is starting to live up to the hype and with his contract expiring in 2024, he could make the jump to a bigger club in the summer.

As reported by TuttoUdinese.it, Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara have been keeping a close eye on Deulofeu this season and may look to make a move for him in the summer. Udinese are keen to pick up Tommaso Pobega, who is currently on loan with Torino, and so a deal could be ironed out on this basis.

The Rossoneri are preparing to further strengthen their squad this summer, something which will become significantly more exciting should Investcorp’s takeover be confirmed later this month.

  1. He’s a good player and could be a very good sub for Milan. He has the Barca touch and quickness in him, and he has obviously learned to adapt to Italian football.

  2. No thanks. With Investcorp incoming we have to start getting players that are Milan calibre. At Udinese there is no pressure on him and maybe that is why he is doing very well. It is a totally different story when wearing our shirt and I am not a fan of second spells.

  3. Could’ve been at the club for years by now if we hadn’t kept changing our minds about players. We shouldn’t go back but we should use it as another reminder not to chop and change. It’s less of an issue since Maldini came on board. It’s noticeable how many of his signings are still at the club last one season.

  4. All of you make very good points but I agree with Milanista. I have endured watching lesser players wear the colours and we needed to balance the books. Now we have to show Inter and Juve who we are from next season and beyond as I will admit that they have the bigger draw at the moment but never forget who we are.

  5. Can we just focus on European level players please, and sound familiar players to all football fans, Isco, Sterling, Renato Sanchez, Gareth Bale, Dybala……..

    But Doeleafaeu who?

  6. Absolutely not. He’s good player for the likes of Udinese and Watford, that’s it.

In his last season playing for Milan, I lost count of how many times he sprinted out of play with the ball.

We need real players, not part timers.

  7. If we don’t keep hold of Pobega I’m going to be so p***ed! Why do we keep doing this?!?!?!
