Now, according to Tuttosport, Milan have come forward and have already got in touch with his agent Miguel Pinho to enquire about the costs involved.

The newspaper adds Silva could be included in an offer, although they would still need to raise around €40m as the striker is only valued at €30m.

To raise that money, the Rossoneri would need to pass up Atletico Madrid forward Angel Correa and sell Suso, with the likes of Fiorentina and Olympique Lyonnais interested.

The 24-year-old spent his entire professional career in Italy with Novara, Udinese and Sampdoria until a 2017 transfer to Sporting.

He became the highest-scoring Portuguese midfielder in history last season, netting 31 times for the capital club, as well as posting 18 assists.
