Milan, Juventus and Inter are all reported to be interested in Borussia Dortmund right-back Thomas Meunier, but Aston Villa are the favourites.
According to German newspaper Bild, his club has set the asking price at circa €3m for this summer.
It is because his contract is due to expire in June 2024 and he is one of the highest earners in the squad, so this would allow them to cut costs.
The Belgium international will turn 32 in September and spent four years at Paris Saint-Germain before moving to Borussia Dortmund as a free agent in 2020.
It is reported that there are three Serie A sides keeping a close eye on the situation, namely Milan, Inter and Juventus.
However, Aston Villa are the prime candidates for his signature, especially as they would promise him more regular first-team football and a higher salary.
Meunier made just 18 competitive appearances for Borussia Dortmund this season, contributing one assist, as he suffered with a series of injury problems.
