Milan midfielder Sandro Tonali has reportedly pulled out of the Italy squad and will return to his club tomorrow while Stefano Pioli hopes to see some of his injured players back for games against Chelsea and Juventus.

The Italy international has not been called up for tonight’s match with England and ‘never trained’ with the Azzurri over the last few days not being 100% fit, Roberto Mancini confirmed on Thursday.

According to Milannews, he will be at San Siro to watch the game tonight, being available for Milan starting from Saturday.

Mike Maignan is also expected at Milanello tomorrow after suffering a calf injury with France. He had been subbed off last night and underwent medical examinations in the morning.

Theo Hernandez had pulled out of the France squad on the first day of training due to an injury suffered in the last Serie A match between Milan and Napoli.

Davide Calabria was replaced during the break of the same game because of a muscle problem.

Alessandro Florenzi and Zlatan Ibrahimovic have suffered long-term injuries, while Divock Origi and Ante Rebic are recovering but missed the last few matches.

According to Sky Sport Italia, Milannews and Radio Rossonera, the ex-Liverpool striker won’t be available for the next Serie A game with Empoli (October 1) but could be back against Chelsea (October 5) or Juventus (October 8).

Rebic, on the other hand, could make the trip to Tuscany next week as his conditions are improving.

Theo Hernandez will miss the upcoming match against Empoli and remains in doubt for the meetings with the Premier League and Serie A giants.

Calabria should be fit against Empoli, while the Rossoneri will assess Maignan and Tonali from tomorrow.

Injured Milan players: Mike Maignan, Theo Hernandez, Davide Calabria, Alessandro Florenzi, Sandro Tonali, Divock Origi, Ante Rebic, Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
