Tiemoue Bakayoko’s agent met with Milan today and he is closer to a transfer from Chelsea, on loan with option to buy.
Multiple sources including Sky Sport Italia and Calciomercato.com note that representatives Marco Busiello and Marco Branca of agency FIRST were at Casa Milan with Rossoneri directors Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara.
Chelsea can already unilaterally activate their option to extend his contract until June 2023, making it possible then for Bakayoko to join Milan on loan with an option to buy at the end of the season.
It represents a return for the 27-year-old, who was also at San Siro on loan in 2018-19.
He spent last season on loan at Napoli, but just like Milan and Monaco before them, the club did not make the transfer permanent.
Bakayoko was purchased from Monaco in 2017 for €40m, but has spent the vast majority of his Chelsea career out on loan.
He made just 43 competitive appearances for the Blues, 42 for Milan and 44 for Napoli.
