Milan are ready to send an improved offer to AZ Alkmaar for midfielder Tijjani Reijnders that will reach €22m including add-ons.

The first offer was rejected at circa €20m with bonuses included, although negotiations are continuing.

The asking price set by the Dutch side is €25m, but the Rossoneri are confident they can get a discount because the player is so determined to join them.

According to MilanNews.it and Sportitalia, the new proposal will be worth €19m plus €3m in quite easy to achieve bonuses and another €2m that are tougher to activate.

That will take the total of the offer to €22m plus add-ons, very close to the demand from AZ Alkmaar, safe in the knowledge he has already agreed personal terms and has them top of his wish-list.

Reijnders turns 25 later this month and spent time at the academies of Zwolle, FC Twente and AZ Alkmaar.

Milan have completely reconstructed their midfield this summer with the sale of Sandro Tonali to Newcastle United and a serious knee injury for Ismael Bennacer.

Ummm, what’s going on Susy? Now you’re struggling with math. How can 19 + 3 + 2 equal to 22? lol
