Milan might be about to get another of their unwanted players off the books, with suggestions Fode Ballo-Toure is open to joining Saint-Etienne.

The left-back was already not part of their plans last season and made the loan move to Fulham, but barely played and the Premier League club did not activate their option to buy.

There was interest from Besiktas and newly promoted Serie A side Venezia, but neither club seemed to excite him.

Saint-Etienne solution for Ballo-Toure

Now Calciomercato.com report that Ballo-Toure has opened the door to French team Saint-Etienne.

Milan still need to negotiate a deal with the club to sell, but even with the smallest transfer fee would still be saving money on his salary.

According to Calcio e Finanza, just sending him away for free would give them a financial benefit of €2.67m between wages and amortisation.

Now 27, the defender was purchased from AS Monaco in 2021 for €5.4m plus add-ons and went on to make 26 competitive appearances for the Rossoneri.
