A lively Milan took an early lead over Barcelona before a Robert Lewandowski brace saw things end all square in their pre-season friendly.

The Rossoneri have looked strong in their pre-season tour in the United States, picking up wins over Manchester City and Real Madrid over the last two weeks, giving Paulo Fonseca a positive start.

In their final pre-season friendly of the US tour, a strong Milan squad lined up to face Barcelona at the M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore.

Luka Jovic opened the scoring in the 10th minute and Christian Pulisic got in on the action five minutes later to give the Rossoneri an early 2-0 lead. Lewandowski responded in the 22nd minute to keep things close and eventually found an equaliser in the 58th minute.

  1. Same issues as last season. Midfield non existent when out of possession. Barcelona cutting thru that midfield like knife through butter.

  2. Why would you say nonsense when it’s obvious you haven’t watched the matches? I’ve watched them all and while these pre-season matches don’t mean much in terms of the result, City and Madrid had about the same amount of first team players as Milan when they played each other.

  3. Milan started with Liberali and Nasti in attack against Madrid. One is a 17 year old Primavera player and the other a young Serie C player. Madrid started Endrik who is already a Brazil international plus Brahim Diaz and Arda Guler. Which is stronger?
