Giacomo Bonaventura says Milan have achieved nothing despite their victory over Sampdoria.
A late Carlos Bacca goal was enough to give the Rossoneri a welcome win at Stadio Luigi Ferraris, a result the 27-year-old believes his team had to suffer for.
“Today it was important to win, we played a tough game,” Bonaventura told Italian television following the match. “We did well to score a goal and to suffer.
“We had a lot of anger and desire to come back.”

The Italy midfielder also backed Coach Vincenzo Montella’s decision to relegate Bacca to the bench for Friday’s match.
“Bacca? It is a sign that the boss wants to give to show everyone that nobody’s place is certain.
“Lapadula put on a good performances, Bacca did well to come on and find the goal.”
Finally, Bonaventura was keen to stress that tonight’s positive result would pale into insignificance should it not be followed up.
“Tonight we didn’t do anything, it’s just an away victory. We need to follow it up otherwise it will mean nothing.”
