Milan have a plan to sign Newcastle Target Botman

Milan have no intention of giving up on Sven Botman and they’ve developed a plan to secure the Dutchman’s signature.

The 21-year-old Lille defender is heavily wanted by the newly backed Newcastle United but he has declined their offer, preferring instead to make the move to the Lombardy capital. The ball is now in the Rossoneri’s court, and they’ve got a new strategy to sign their man.

As reported by Calciomercato.com, Milan’s latest idea is to try to agree to a deal with Botman for next summer, blocking any possible move in this month’s transfer window. Considering that the Rossoneri still need a defensive reinforcement, they’ll then look to sign a new centre back on loan this month.

The 21-year-old Botman, who is contracted to Lille until 2025, has made 17 appearances across all competitions so far this season for the Ligue 1 side, for a total of 1530 minutes. In that time, he has scored one goal, provided one assist and helped the side keep four clean sheets.
