Milan are seriously interested in making a move for VfB Stuttgart’s Serhou Guirassy this summer but now need to fight off competition from Borussia Dortmund, who have taken a step forward.

The Rossoneri are on the hunt for a new centre forward in the summer transfer window, needing a long-term replacement for the Los Angeles FC bound Oliver Giroud, and have identified a number of interesting options as the market fast approaches.

Milan have considered various options like Bologna’s Joshua Zirkzee, RB Leipzig’s Benjamin Sesko and Feyenoord’s Santiago Gimenez, but none would come cheap, pushing Giorgio Furlani and Geoffrey Moncada to switch focus to Guirassy.

Page 19 of today’s Corriere dello Sport reports that Milan aren’t the only club seriously interested in a move for Guirassy, with Borussia Dortmund hungry to snap up the 28-year-old this summer.

The Guinean striker shined for Stuttgart this term, netting 30 goals and providing three assists in 30 appearances across the Bundesliga and DFB-Pokal.

The 28-year-old has a €17.5m release clause in his contract and Dortmund have already been in contact with his entourage to understand his salary requests and agent commissions.
