Mike Maignan is unlikely to return in time for Milan‘s Champions League clash against Tottenham on February 14, reports Tuttosport.

The France international has been temporarily dropped from the Rossoneri’s Champions League squad list, along with Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

According to Tuttosport, he will miss the Champions League Round of 16 opener with Tottenham at San Siro on February 14.

The ex-Lille keeper will reportedly be back for the following Serie A match against Monza on February 18 or in the game with Atalanta on February 26.

The fact that Maignan has not been included in the Champions League squad appears to confirm he won’t return in time to face Antonio Conte’s Spurs.

However, the Rossoneri can still include him in the list up to 24 hours before kick-off.

Maignan, who was named Best Serie A Goalkeeper in 2021-22, hasn’t featured for the defending Serie A champions since September when he suffered a calf injury while on international duty with France.
