Hysaj has experience in both Serie A and the Champions League, while his agent confirmed this week that he won’t sign a new contract with Napoli, having repeatedly failed to agree an extension.

It expires on June 30, so he’ll be a free agent this summer and can already negotiate with other clubs.

Milan currently have Diogo Dalot on loan from Manchester United, but don’t seem eager to activate the €20m option to buy.

They are saving the money in order to buy Fikayo Tomori from Chelsea for €28m.
