Milan have decided not to make a move for Roma forward Nicolo Zaniolo following Bournemouth’s offer, Gianluca Di Marzio reports.

The Rossoneri initially emerged as frontrunners for the unhappy 23-year-old, who asked the Giallorossi to put him on the transfer market this month. Roma have clear demands for Zaniolo, however, and want a definitive deal worth close to €30m, ruling out any temporary loan offers.

As reported by Gianluca Di Marzio, Milan have informed Roma that they are not willing to make a move for Zaniolo at this stage, unwilling to match Bournemouth’s offer of €30m plus add-ons and a future resale clause.

The Giallorossi have already accepted the Premier League club’s offer and are now waiting to see if Zaniolo will give the green light for a deal. The 23-year-old reportedly prefers the idea of staying in Italy, but Milan’s withdrawal may push him to reconsider a move to the Premier League.

Zaniolo, who is contracted to Roma until June 2024, has scored two goals in 17 appearances this season for Roma.
