Previously a target for Juventus and Inter, the Portugal international is available for around €8m (£6.5m) and therefore cheaper than some of Milan’s other options.
The problem would remain his wages, which at €3.5m per season are steep for a club not even in Europe this season.
Meanwhile, Sky Sport Italia also claim Manchester United defender Evra is taking time out to think about his Juventus move in the wake of Antonio Conte’s departure.
The Coach announced this evening he had terminated the contract by mutual consent.
As Conte was a large part of Evra’s decision to join the Bianconeri, it’s reported he is now waiting to find out who is going to be on the bench before finalising the move.
Current candidates for the job are Roberto Mancini, Massimiliano Allegri, Luciano Spalletti and Zinedine Zidane.
