Nicolo Zaniolo could find his way back to Serie A next season as Milan, Fiorentina and Napoli all circle for the Aston Villa forward.

The 24-year-old Italian headed to the Premier League last summer from Galatasaray, joining on a €5m loan deal with a €27m buy option attached. He has not managed to impress in England, scoring just twice across 24 matches, and is expected to return to Turkey at the end of the season.

Zaniolo’s career has been in freefall a little following his acrimonious exit from Roma 12 months ago, with off-pitch issues relating to the recent Serie A betting scandal only further disrupting his efforts on the pitch. Despite that, he’s hoping to make the Italy squad for the coming European Championship.

As reported by TMW, Milan are keeping a close eye on Zaniolo ahead of the summer transfer window, still interested in the idea of bringing the Italian forward to San Siro following their previous efforts 12 months ago.

Fiorentina and Napoli are both planning to make a move for the 24-year-old in the summer, keen to bring him back to Serie A as well.
