Milan’s transfer plans with Chelsea could swing back towards Hakim Ziyech after target Armando Broja picked up a serious knee injury this afternoon.

The Rossoneri have been looking towards Stamford Bridge for their January reinforcements and initially the plan had been to swoop for Ziyech on loan with an option to buy.

However, his salary was proving a problem and interest had swerved towards his teammate Broja instead, who at 21 would also be an investment for the future.

The Albania international may well be off the market for now, because he was stretchered off in agony with what looks to be a serious knee injury during Chelsea’s friendly match this afternoon against Aston Villa.

Broja has scored one goal with one assist in 18 competitive games for Chelsea this season.

With that in mind, and his form in the World Cup for Morocco to reach the semi-finals against France, Ziyech is rising back up the ranks on Milan’s January transfer wish-list.
