Milan officials Ariedo Braida and Adriano Galliani will fly out to South America this month to watch Ganso in action.

The Santos player has been strongly linked with the Rossoneri over the last six months, even if their interest seemed to cool recently.

Nevertheless, reports in Italy on Thursday suggest that Braida and Galliani will take a closer look at the player during the Copa Libertadores Final against Penarol.

Braida will take in the first leg on June 15 and he will be joined by his Vice-President for the return on June 22.

There is a potential problem though should Milan want to make a bid for the Brazilian international midfielder.

Italian rules state that only one non-EU player can be signed per season and the Rossoneri have already acquired Taye Taiwo. Those restrictions may change during the summer.

It is also reported that Milan could buy the player, but opt to loan him to a Spanish club in order for him to get used to the European game.

Alternatively, the San Siro giants could make a bid for River Plate's Erik Lamela instead, an attacking midfielder who will soon be eligible for a European passport.
